Originally designed as a gift for my Dad, it was his glowing words about how practical and hardwearing this hat is that led to it becoming my very first design.

Knit in the beautiful Daughter of a Shepherd Heritage DK, yarn chosen as it is grown locally to my Dad's childhood home, this hat is lightweight yet incredibly hardwearing, and with the right care will keep you warm for many years.

This one skein project, with it's repetative stitch patterns, would make a great weekend project or quick gift knit.

This design is knit in the round from the bottom up and has clear written and charted instructions to guide you every step of the way. You can also find handy tutorials for all the methods used in this pattern on my Substack.
