Lady Jane Mittens
- Simple lace pattern
- Full written instructions
- Can be knit as mittens or fingerless mitts
I do enjoy Jane Austen's novels and have found that my favourite changes as I age. What has never changed though is my love for the female characters, who are determined not to accept the status quo and endeavour to do things on their own terms. A bit like these mittens!
Using a simple, easy to remember lace stitch pattern these mittens can be knit up either as full mittens or as fingerless mitts. The pattern includes full written instructions of how to knit both, so in this story, you can choose your own ending.
Both the mittens and fingerless mitts are knit in the round, from the cuff up and would be suitable for confident beginners to advanced knitters.
This pattern uses the German Twisted Cast On method. If you need some help with this cast on you can find a free tutorial on my Substack.
This pattern was designed to go perfectly with the Lady Jane hat and cowl. If you can't pick a favourite, why not make the complete set. You can now buy all three patterns together and save 25%.
